Accommodation
Location
Hotels within an easy walk of the venue are on George Street and in the New Town. That said, Edinburgh is very compact, and no city hotel, Old Town, or even slightly South is more than a £5/10-minute cab ride or, usually, 15-30 minute walk from the venue.
There are around 200 hotels and B&Bs to choose from.

There many hostels in lovely old-town locations around the Castle, and down the Royal Mile, they run around £70/week or so.
I haven't stayed in any, but these are close enough to the venue to walk "High Street Hostel" and "Smart City", "Bus Station Backpackers", "Caledonian Backpackers"
